Thank you for choosing Boston Child Safe Ride. Please read this Refund & Cancellation Policy carefully before making a reservation. By completing a booking on bostonchildsaferide.com, you agree to the terms below.
1. Reservation Fee
We charge a $1.00 reservation fee at the time of booking to confirm and hold your reservation.
This $1.00 reservation fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
2. Full Service Payment & Refund Eligibility
- The remaining service fee (the full cost of your trip) is typically charged closer to the scheduled pickup time or as otherwise indicated during booking.
- If the full service fee has been charged and you wish to request a refund, you may submit a refund claim within 72 hours of making the booking.
- Refunds are considered only for valid reasons (examples include: significant schedule changes by the customer with adequate notice, documented service failure on our part, or other circumstances we deem legitimate).
- Our decision regarding any refund request is final and not subject to dispute.
3. Cancellation by the Customer
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time may be eligible for a partial or full refund of the service fee (excluding the non-refundable $1 reservation fee), subject to our review.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup, or no-shows, are generally non-refundable.
- We recommend contacting us as early as possible if you need to cancel or modify your booking.
4. Bookings Made for Guests
If you make a booking on behalf of another person (a guest), all communications, changes, cancellations, and refund requests must be handled by the person who made the original reservation.
We cannot process refund requests or issue refunds directly to the guest. Only the original booker may request changes or refunds.
5. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

We will review your request and respond as quickly as possible. Approved refunds of the service fee (when applicable) will be processed to the original payment method.
6. Service Changes or Cancellations by Boston Child Safe Ride
In the rare event that we must cancel or significantly modify a confirmed booking due to circumstances beyond our control (vehicle issues, extreme weather, etc.), we will notify you as soon as possible and issue a full refund of the service fee (the $1 reservation fee remains non-refundable) or offer to reschedule at no extra cost.
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, traffic emergencies, road closures, or government actions. In such cases, refund eligibility will be determined at our sole discretion.
8. Governing Law & Disputes
This Refund & Cancellation Policy and any disputes arising from bookings or services shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
All legal disputes are limited exclusively to the courts located in Massachusetts.
